How does AquaGold work?
AquaGold delivers microdose combinations of drugs or biologics directly into the skin through thousands of micro-injections per minute without pain or downtime. This treatment helps to reduce pore size, even skin tone, minimize fine lines, hydrate dry skin and improve acne scarring. It can be effectively used on the face, including the under-eye area and pores on the nose, as well as the neck, and décolletage.
AquaGold Microinfusion can be used in combination with Cosmetic Injections, delivering great multi-targeted results. However, it is a great procedure used alone for those who aren’t quite ready for traditional Botox or Filler injections, but looking to boost their skin appearance quickly. Since we infuse tiny microdroplets of the products into your skin, there is no risk of ‘freezing’ your face or overfilling. The effect is very natural, often described as “airbrushing” working at a very superficial micro level of the skin.
Microinfusion vs. Microneedling
The needles in the AquaGold Microinfusion device are hollow, allowing for thousands micro-injections which deliver ingredients directly into the skin. Effects are similar to microneedling in that it stimulates collagen production, but gentler and with the unique ability to microinfuse drug-class cosmeceuticals and injectables into the skin via the hollow needles.
Microneedling treatments do not deliver ingredients directly into the skin, but rather on top of the skin post treatment. More importantly, microneedling cannot be used with drug class ingredients such as Botox or Dermal Fillers. Microneedling focuses more on stimulating your body’s own collagen by creating a larger volume of deeper micro injuries.
There’s also a difference in downtime. Microneedling can require up to three days for redness to completely disappear, while post-microinfusion, your skin will likely just turn pink for about 30 minutes to a few hours before abating completely.
